NIOS Stream 3rd and 4th stream for intake is now closed. Next year it will be opened for those students who have already completed their secondary education from a recognized board and want to attend admission in one subject or up to 4 subjects to update their qualification or for those students who appeared but could not make sure or were eligible, but could not appear for secondary level public exam from any recognized board and want to appear through NIOS on demand exam system for secondary level only. Students must submit their admission form along with the original fail mark/admit card (hall ticket) issued by the board for confirmation of admission. Students registered under stream 3 will be eligible for TOC as per guidelines and conditions mentioned in NIOS prospectus. In Stream 3rd of NIOS Board Marksheet 2019 Provisional Certificate, Transfer Migration Certificate and Passing Certificate will be awarded to successful students. NIOS is taking conscious steps to provide quality education. Govt. of India permits NIOS Board to conduct public examinations and award certificates at secondary and higher secondary level which are equivalent to those awarded by any other academic board. NIOS is one of the three national boards while the other two are CBSE and ICSE.
N.I.O.S Passed students can can apply for All India admissions as well as State Medical, Engineering and other various competitive exams like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, PMT (NEET), CA, CS, ICWA, CLAT and also other professional and academic courses in all universities, technical institutes throughout the country and abroad. They can also look for government jobs either central / state. However, students have to fulfill other eligibility criteria like age, specific subjects, qualifying percentage and other criteria.
